Workshops

Girl looking into a microscopeWorkshops put the student in the role of apprentice scientist. They not only learn about science but also do science. Children work together to share ideas, discuss observations, ask questions, test predictions, analyze results, make things and have a good time. All topics have plenty of hands-on activities to satisfy the lively and inquisitive.

We bring workshops to a variety of settings with various scheduling options:

    • After-school programs typically meet an hour per week for four to eight weeks.
    • Weekend workshops vary, but usually run three hours on a Saturday or Sunday, often as a series lasting several weeks.
    • In-school workshops may meet any number of hours at a time, either as a single event or as a series, according to the needs of your class.

Whatever your organization – community center, daycare, school, learning center, church, or club – Spark a Playful Mind will bring science wonder for everyone to enjoy.
